Q1 2024 Performance of Top Virtual Pet Apps on iOS in France

In the first quarter of 2024, the virtual pet category on iOS has seen interesting trends in France. Data from Sensor Tower highlights how top apps have fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

My Talking Tom from Outfit7 Limited showed a revenue trend that peaked in late February with $339K, alongside a notable downloads spike to 6.1M in mid-February. Weekly active users reached a high of 69K in the same period, indicating a period of heightened engagement.

Ferrero Trading Lux S.A.'s Applaydu family games maintained a consistent performance in downloads, with an impressive surge to over 12K in the last week of March. Despite reporting no revenue, the app's weekly active users saw a substantial increase, jumping to over 16K by the end of the quarter.

Another app from Outfit7 Limited, My Talking Angela, exhibited a steady revenue stream, peaking at $66K in mid-March. Downloads and weekly active users showed slight fluctuations, with downloads reaching 3K at the end of March and active users hovering around 15K throughout the quarter.

My Talking Angela 2 also had a variable quarter. Its revenue saw a high of $138K in late January, while downloads peaked at 4.6M in the first week of January. Weekly active users for the app peaked at 27.9K in the first week but increased towards the end of the quarter to 18.8K.

Lastly, My Talking Tom 2, although not generating revenue, experienced its highest downloads of 5.9M in mid-February and its weekly active users peaked at 41.7K in the same month.
